Dementia Activity Centre

Our Dementia Activity Centre opened in September 2022 and is open to anyone affected by memory loss.

We offer a varied timetable of groups and activities at the Centre and we offer transport to those living within a three mile radius (subject to availability).

Tuesday

Silverline Memories Jubilee Dementia Choir. Our famous choir meets every Tuesday for rehearsals or for local performances when booked. Enjoy the uplifting experience of community singing - no previous singing experience needed. It's not about the voice, it's about the enthusiasm!

Wednesday

Young Onset Dementia Peer Support Group. For those diagnosed under the age of 65. As a peer-led group, members choose their own activities, from bowling to watching a film, or a trip to the pub. Come along and make new friends - we promise no bingo!

Thursday

Picnic Knit and Natter. Bring your packed lunch and your craft activity of choice (knitting, embroidery, crochet) and enjoy an afternoon of conversation, music and laughter.

Friday

Feel Good Fridays. A fun afternoon of games, drama, films, seated exercise - a playful afternoon of fun and movement.

Our Dementia Activity Centre is led by Jo Batey-Wilkins with a fabulous team of volunteers. You are promised a warm welcome and to be made to feel part of the Silverline Memories family from your very first visit.
