Sandra Coulter, CEO

I was born in Basingstoke to Geordie parents and moved with them to Newcastle upon Tyne in 1981 where I have lived since.  I graduated in 1999 with a degree in Sociology and began my working life with Procter & Gamble before moving to IBM.  I became a mum in 2004 and launched my own business.

I founded Silverline Memories in 2013 and brought together my business skills and knowledge with my personal experience of caring for family members with Lewy Body Dementia and Huntington’s Disease.   I knew first hand the lack of social opportunities available for people living with Dementia and support for family carers.  It is my privilege to work with so many amazing families, and to be supported by a passionate and committed team of Trustees and Volunteers.

I have recently completed a Masters Degree in Strategic Leadership and a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice, and I am a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. I am Trustee of Genie Wish, a small local charity that provides wishes to older people living in residential and nursing care, and I provide some consultancy support to other founding CEO’s of small local charities, where I specialise in third sector Succession Planning.

I live with my husband, one of my two adult children and a spoilt cockapoo called Jenny!  I enjoy reading, live music and theatre.
