Sandra Coulter, CEO

I was born in Basingstoke to Geordie parents and moved with them to Newcastle upon Tyne in 1981 where I have lived since.  I graduated in 1999 with a degree in Sociology and began my working life with Procter & Gamble before moving to IBM.  I became a mum in 2004 and launched my own business.

I founded Silverline Memories in 2013 and brought together my business skills and knowledge with my personal experience of caring for family members with Lewy Body Dementia and Huntington’s Disease.   I knew first hand the lack of social opportunities available for people living with Dementia and support for family carers.  It is my privilege to work with so many amazing families, and to be supported by a passionate and committed team of Trustees and Volunteers.

I am married with two children and step son and in my spare time I am studying for a Masters in Strategic Leadership at Newcastle University Business School.  I enjoy reading, live music and theatre.
