Silverline Memories has been working closely with Northumbria Police to launch the new ‘Safe and Found’ project. As part of their Missing Persons strategies, UK Police Forces are encouraging carers of vulnerable individuals who are at risk of going missing to compile important information about them.
This information is recorded on a form provided by the Police, known as a "Protocol." Having this data ready can save vital time in the event of a missing persons situation, helping to facilitate a faster and more effective search and rescue plan.
In partnership with several English police forces, we have worked to create digital versions of these forms. This means that in case of an emergency, life-saving information can be shared with the police at the touch of a button.
The Newcastle Gateshead Dementia Action Alliance (NGDAA) was launched in 2024 to bring people and organisations together to make life better for those living with dementia—and the people who care for them.
This alliance is proudly led by Age UK Gateshead and Silverline Memories, two key partners working hand-in-hand to drive real change across the Newcastle-Gateshead area.
Together, we’re taking a joined-up approach—sharing ideas, resources, and actions to create more dementia-friendly communities. Whether it’s supporting individuals, raising awareness, or helping carers feel less alone, NGDAA is all about making a positive, practical difference where it matters most.
