John Kew, Minibus Driver | Young Onset Lead

I previously worked as a taxi driver for 25 years and helped care for my dad who was diagnosed with dementia. I then left the taxi driving to become a full-time carer for my son who had profound disabilities, until he unfortunately passed away 2 years ago. 

I was then looking to get back in to work when I came across the job advertisement for a minibus driver for Silverline Memories. I thought this role would be perfect for me because of my personal experience. My job role is driver of the minibus, but I love getting involved with all of the groups and the activities – this is not a job to me its just about coming in having fun and making a difference, its such a rewarding role.
