Debbie, volunteer

I became a volunteer because my lovely dad lived with dementia for more than 10 years and I saw how much he was still able to enjoy life with the right support.

He and my mum, who was his main carer, went along to a dementia activity centre in Stockton and both really enjoyed it.  

When I retired I looked for similar groups nearby where I could volunteer and found Silverline.  

I’ve loved becoming part of Silverline family!
