We have been delighted this week to learn of several successful applications for support.

GVOC Grants for Groups are supporting us with a grant to provide lighting at the Cecily Douglas Memory Garden, Springwell Estate, and the Ward Councillors have provided us with a £25o grant to help with the Garden Party launch on Bank Holiday Monday, May 2nd.  Dobbies Garden Centre, Ponteland, have chose us as one of the four projects they will be supporting this year with plants and equipment to the value of £700!  This is a huge boost to the project and we are looking forward to getting the Garden planted ready for the Mayor of Gateshead officially opening the site.  We would love to see you there between 12pm & 3pm.

We are also really excited by the grant we have been awarded by Chain Reaction to purchase an iPad, wireless dongle and wireless speakers so we can create personalised music playlists for our Dementia Cafes in Brunton Park and Kingston Park.  The iPad will also be used to take store and share the many wonderful photographs we take at our events, and as a source of information for our group members.
